In a move that can have a significant impact for everyone selling online, Ecwid has recently announced the integration of Square. These are two big players in this industry, with the first being the most used, free, e-commerce shopping cart and online store solution, and the second being one of the most used free POS softwares. With e-commerce spending expected to exceed $3.5 trillion by 2019, small businesses in the US and Canada now have a more effective way to take advantage of this opportunity, no matter where their customers choose to shop.
This collaboration between Ecwid and Square offers retailers the ability to sell anywhere online and keep all channels in sync. Now that these two services are combined, merchants can now import their Square product catalog with one click, use Ecwid to create an online store with Square payments automatically configured and, finally, manage their end-to-end business in one place. This solution is available in the Square App Marketplace or via Ecwid.
“With Ecwid, I was able to get my online store up and running without having to hire a web developer. On top of that, it gives me unified inventory management, so my gallery and webstore always are synced,” said Melanie Cronin, owner of Cronin Art USA. “Everything is so easy with Ecwid and Square, I literally can treat my in-store and online systems as one. Now, we sell our art all year round to anyone, wherever they may be, instead of just during the tourist season.”
With the tools now available, merchants are now able to expand beyond their physical locations and grow their business online, auto-create an online store with Square payments pre-installed, easily add their store to any site online (including their Facebook page), synchronize and easily manage their product, inventory, and sales data and, if all goes well, increase sales.
