Today from the Palo Alto office of Aol, the Mobile First team released a behind the scenes video sharing news about a new mobile iPad application called Editions. The video features Senior Director of Mobile, Sol Lipman, who you may remember was the was the co-founder of 12seconds. Editions, which is supposed to be coming soon, is said to be like “Pandora for content” as it creates a “personalized magazine reading experience every day.” Sounds like it could be similar to the FlipBoard app which I use every day. It also reminds me of myAOL, which included a personalization engine called Magnet, that I helped develop back in 2008. So I am very curious to see the application when it comes out.

Watch this video which features Sol Lipman as he shares a behind the scenes look at coming up with the tagline for the new iPad app. Warning: The new tagline, might have something to do with reading your iPad in the bathroom. MG Siegler also shared some thoughts on the new application.

Oh, now I am curious, so please take our simple poll (below).

Inquiring minds want to know.
