Elizabeth Yin spent her life, through college, living in the Bay Area; after graduating, she was anxious to get out and explore the world. As she worked, interned, and consulted in Switzerland, Japan, India, and New Zealand, Yin picked up some crucial skills that would prepare her for the launch of her own startup in 2011.

Yin returned from her travels, met up with her longtime friend Jennifer Chin, and cofounded Launchbit with the help of her newfound skill sets. Launchbit is designed as an ad network for email that helps advertisers reach their target demographic while aiding email publishers in monetizing their emails.

Aside from the countless marketing tactics she acquired, Yin learned the value in being able to adapt and learn quickly. As an entrepreneur with a startup, there are so many unknown factors that you have to be prepared for. Traveling helped Yin, and it very well could help other entrepreneurs getting started.
