There have been rumors of a Facebook phone for months and we just got a look at the closest thing to it with the news of the “INQ Cloud Touch” and “Cloud Q”. INQ Mobile is a London-based company that is producing two phones built on top of Android 2.2. with a social Facebook wrapper. The main focus is your Facebook News feed and arrows make it easy to flip through status updates, photos, videos, and shared articles from your friends. It appears the touch screen interaction on the news feed is similar to that of Flipboard.
Another fun surprise is the fact that this phone does not only offer Facebook features but also includes the music service Spotify. Also, for slow typers the keyboard on the device will predict what word you’re typing based on your writing patterns. The Cloud Touch is set to launch in April and the Cloud Q sometime in Q3. These devices are sure to be on display at Mobile World Congress next week. We’ll be there too, so join us in Barcelona.
