For the “i” generation, it’s all about our iPhones, iPods, iPads… and now, thanks to three creative entrepreneurs, iStyle Originals brings you high-quality apparel and accessories that allows the iGeneration to wear what’s on our minds.

iStyle Originals produces attention-grabbing t-shirts with statements ranging from iGame to iCandy and a whole line of children (iCute) and dog attire (iPaw’d). At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, iStyle Originals expanded their accessories line by putting their fun slogans on iPad and iPod cases, headphones, and many other great items.

Fashion for the iGeneration

iStyle Originals was started by Canadians Stephen Bleeker, Robert Smith and Janice McDonald, who collaborate continuously on new ideas for their line. Their apparel is sold in stores across Canada and the United States (including Bobs and Pet Club), and you also can purchase your own iStyle Originals shirts and accessories online. Currently the iPad/iPhone covers and headphones are primarily sold in stores across Spain, Singapore and the Middle East. The line will be coming to states soon.

As Benjamin Franklin said, “energy and persistence conquer all things.” iStyle Originals’ partner Janice McDonald follows Franklin’s principles and shared her advice for all budding entrepreneurs:

“It is very important to work hard, stay focused and keep your vision. Starting a new business is filled with challenges and opportunities, and you have to keep at it. It’s important to ask for help from knowledgeable people in your industry and to keep learning everything you can about your industry.”

While running iStyle Originals, Stephen Bleeker and Janice McDonald also own an independent retail chain of music stores and an online music site. Robert Smith, is the owner of Green Melon Inc, an advertising/design/marketing firm focused on the retail sector. To create their high impact products, these three entrepreneurs brought together their love of design, understanding of trends, and knowledge of what sells.

Bottom Line: To create your own line of fashion apparel all it takes is a little creative ingenuity and breadth of experience.
