Who here hasn’t built a gingerbread house before? It’s something I’ve personally done countless times in my life, and if you haven’t made one I think you owe it to yourself to stop being such a grown up this holiday season.
If you’re like me though, somebody who likes alternative design, you might find the traditional gingerbread house a bit drab. Why not go crazy and build something epic? I came across a post on Mashable highlighting perhaps one of the coolest gingerbread creations I’ve ever seen: the Game of Thrones gingerbread – wait for it – CASTLE.
As the Mashable article reports, it was made by award winning cake designer and sugar artist Michelle Wibowo for the Taste of London 2015. Wibowo’s sugary replica has “all the details: the Dragon Pit, the Great Sept of Baelor and, of course, the Red Keep”.
The replica gingerbread castle was built to mirror the scale model of King’s Landing in the HBO show’s opening credits. Check it out:

I’m going to attempt my hand at it this holiday season with a few of my friends. Sure, it might turn out like a horrificly hilarious Pinterest fail, but at least we’ll have fun making it. I’ll keep you posted!
