Getting Married? Hitch’d is Poised to Make Wedding Planning Easier

Set to launch this summer, Tokyo-based startup Hitch’d will help you curate, create, and discover fabulous wedding-related stuff online—from ideas for bridesmaid dresses to place settings—that you can easily share with your friends and family.

Currently in alpha, Hitch’d is accepting applications for private beta.  If this had been around 11 years ago, I would have jumped at the chance to test it out!  Creating an online scrapbook of fresh ideas and inspiration is much more elegant than a notebook stuffed with papers and scribbles (which I still have—don’t ask me why!).

Hitch’d was founded by Takara Swoopes Bullock, an American expat, who after having planned her own wedding in 2008, was frustrated with the lack of services available for saving and organizing wedding ideas online. She is aided by CTO Rob Cawte, who ensures all is working beautifully behind the scenes.

We’ll keep you posted on the official launch of Hitch’d – currently they’re on schedule for a public beta launch at the beginning of July – but their private beta begins next week so you can sign up for private beta today.
