New York-based startup Ludicast, developer of web-based tools and apps, is demoing a new app at our Tech Cocktail NYC event on April 14.  Hail To The Mayor, a finalist in the Foursquare Hackathon, allows your “anthem” to be automatically added to a jukebox of a bar when you check in. You can also control the jukebox using their Wandermote platform.

Hail To The Mayor relies on Wandermote, Ludacast’s flagship product, which lets you turn your phone into a remote control to interact with a digital sign. By bridging the gap between consumers and digital signage, Wandremote drives customer engagement with a brand.  Here’s how it works: You can scan a QR code on a digital sign and instantly be able to control the sign.  This lets the owners of digital signage networks engage a variety of users, as well as collect information about how people are interacting with their brand.

President Nate Kidwell is a developer who has been involved with every aspect of technology for the past decade, and he’s a big believer in, and proponent of, open source.  Stop by Tech Cocktail NYC to meet him and Hail To The Mayor!
