With HotPads’ iPad app taking off (over 1,100 downloads in 1 week), there are no signs of the company slowing down.  They just released the first housing search app designed specifically for tablets running the Honeycomb version of the Android OS.

The team is really excited to introduce the first app of its kind and bring their map-based real estate search engine to Android tablets.  It boasts super fast functionality and a new interface, making it super easy to search for apartments and homes for sale or rent, or hotels when you’re traveling.

The most useful feature, which you can see in the above screen shot, allows you to view a map and the listing all on one screen – no toggling back and forth between the two.   You can also inquire about properties right from your Android tablet, mark search results as favorites, save your searches, and share listings with a friend.

You can download it for here for free.
