Looking for a high-energy evening of 5-minute talks by people who have an idea? That is exactly what you get with Ignite. Ignite events are generally hosted by a local entrepreneur or community leader and offer local speakers a chance to get up on stage and speak their mind for 5 minutes with 20 slides paced at 15 seconds apart. Created in 2006, just six months after we hosted our first TECH cocktail mixer event, by Brady Forest and Bre Pettis in Seattle. Brady and Bre turned the event over to conference and publishing company, O’Reilly Media, and since then Ignite events have spread to a number of cities across the globe. We are excited to share a few upcoming Ignite events that you might not want to miss.
