When Jackie Jensen cofounded Ticket Cake out of a garage in Salt Lake City, she never imagined that she would one day be a tech superstar operating out of Las Vegas.

Ticket Cake, an online event management and ticket sales platform, was launched at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Shortly thereafter, Jensen visited the inspiring Downtown Vegas tech startup scene and decided to relocate her entire operation.

Ticket Cake has seen the Downtown Vegas scene shift since they arrived to accommodate many new events. To that end, they have started their own live-audience podcast right out of Ticket Cake’s headquarters.

As Jensen grows her business, she looks towards David and Jennifer Gosse for motivation. She wants to always maintain a forward vision, remain heavily involved in the tech startup community, and manage a successful business.

The Ticket Cake team celebrated their millionth dollar in ticket sales earlier this year, but they are not stopping to take a break.

Tech Cocktail Week is a monthly series of events that takes place in downtown Las Vegas and is produced in partnership with Tony Hsieh’s Downtown Project.
