Only wear stonewashed jeans if you’re working on your car.
That’s some of the advice you’ll get if you visit ZipFit.me, a Chicago startup. But more importantly, you can shop like a pro: figure out your jeans size in a few quick steps or – if you have a snug pair already – see recommendations for different brands to buy. (If you prefer more customization options, try GetWear.)
Founder Liz Kammel knows how to sell clothes to men – she used to work at Gap and came up with ZipFit.me while carpooling with 7 guy friends.
“If guys know what they like, they’ll tell you. If they need help, they’ll tell you that, too. It’s pretty simple,” says Kammel, who showcased at our Tech Cocktail Chicago mixer this week.
If you do need help, head over to ZipFitter advice or check out their Good Looks section.
And don’t worry, ladies, ZipFit.me’s long-term goal is to be a “virtual personal shopper” for all clothes. Stay tuned.
