BetterLesson is looking for a senior PHP developer to join their growing team. I first met Alex Grodd, one of the founders of BetterLesson, at TECH cocktail in Boston over a year ago.  Then he was a man with an idea and a mission. Now he has a company up and running and a chance to change the world. (He also has a solid CTO that he met at the same TECH cocktail event I met him at. Just a little pat on the back for TECH cocktail.)

If you are interested in the role please read on for a description of BetterLesson and of the job.

BetterLesson is a file sharing and social networking platform that helps teachers connect and share lessons, best practices, and ideas within communities of practice. Founded by a group of teachers from Atlanta and Boston Public Schools in response to their frustrations with constantly “reinventing the wheel,” BetterLesson is committed to dramatically improving student achievement by providing all teachers with access to the best instructional content available. BetterLesson has raised a seed round from NewSchools Venture Fund and recently launched a private beta with many of the top-performing schools and school networks in the country. We have been featured in CNet, WIRED, Scholastic, and MA High Tech.
