Nothing commands respect in the startup world like being part of a successful, groundbreaking company. Obviously Apple and Google are the gold standard, but there’s a vast array of notable companies that have contributed more to the tech industry than any startup could dream of. And if you put Intel on that list, you’re going to be excited about our next speaker at Innovate Celebrate 2017.
That’s right, Josh Walden, senior vice president and general manager of the New Technology Group at Intel, will be speaking at our annual conference this year. His wealth of experience in the strategic and operational sides of business will prove invaluable for budding entrepreneurs, hungry startup founders, and anyone else that plans on attending the conference.
As the senior vice president and general manager of the New Technology Group at Intel, Walden oversees the company’s global research efforts in computing and communications. Additionally, he oversees a forward-looking portfolio of technology solutions, chartered with incubating and establishing new growth engines for the next decade.
Walden has been working at Intel since 1983(!) and has held numerous roles in wafer manufacturing and technology development throughout his career, including overseeing the startup and initial high-volume manufacturing of Intel’s first international 300mm wafer fabrication facility in Ireland. While at Intel, he’s also headed Intel’s Platform Engineering Group as well as there Fab/Sort Manufacturing organization.
