In her storied career, she’s been innovating new ways of interacting with shared autonomous teleoperation, enhanced imitation learning, tactile grasp adjustment, human-aware navigation and, most recently, robot mapping and localization.

At Mayfield Robotics, she is also a market-focused strategist that understands the importance and value of building relevant, helpful products that people actually want to use. Her experience is part of what has made Mayfield such a successful, trailblazing company in the robotics world.
Being the CTO of a major robotics company is one thing, but Hsiao is also a notable influencer in the industry. She was named one of the “25 Women in Robotics You Need to Know About” by Robohub, and was also honored as one of Silicon Valley Business Journal’s “Women of Influence.” Plus, there isn’t a scientist, roboticist, or
entrepreneur on the planet that hasn’t asked her (or wish they’d asked her) for advice and guidance in the robotics industry.
