“Some rich tech person called Yuri, who was very nice; I went to Yuri’s very large house. And his friends, who included Mark Zuckerberg and ‘Google people’ called Sergey who was also very nice.”
On Monday, actress Keira Knightley joined Jimmy Kimmel to chat briefly about her new movie The Imitation Game, which explores the story of mathematician and computer scientist Alan Turing and his role in helping the Allies win World War II – you can watch a trailer of the movie here, and admittedly it looks amazing (and Benedict Cumberbatch plays the lead role, so duh). What’s really entertaining about Knightley’s interview with Kimmel, though, is the way she describes her experience at the private screening in renowned tech investor Yuri Milner’s home, as well as what it was like to be surrounded by the likes of Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Crocs-donning “Google people” (Google cofounder Sergey Brin). She also talks about being a technophobe and her excitement when someone came up to her offering to show her spaceships.
