Kelly Hoey of Women Innovate Mobile: Accelerators Need More Women [VIDEO]

Among her many talents, Kelly Hoey is an expert at making connections. Her colleagues call her a “top networker” and a “serial connector” who knows how to bring the right people together.

That’s part of her job as cofounder and managing director of Women Innovate Mobile, a startup accelerator for women-founded mobile companies. They offer seed funding, office space, and – crucially – connections to mentors and advisors who can make all the difference.

On top of her work at Women Innovate Mobile, Hoey is also a startup advisor and an angel investor for the Pipeline Fellowship.

Hoey stopped by on Saturday at our SXSW Startup Celebration sponsored by CEA and .CO. She gave her thoughts on why the tech world needs more women, whether women can “have it all,” and where Women Innovate Mobile is headed. Here’s the video.
