Trying to remember the name of a song you heard? There is an iPhone app that can help by allowing you to sing a tune and it will help recognize it. Khush is the company behind the slick karaoke application for the iPhone called LaDiDa that allows users to sing into the phone. The application analyzes your voice and composes music to match. You can even submit your songs to a main library and listen to songs submitted by other users. We showcased Khush’s LaDiDa application last March at the Tech Cocktail SXSW: Blackout Sunday in Austin, Texas.
News broke today that Khush, the company behind the magic, has raised a new round of funding from Dave McClure’s 500 Startups, angel investor Yee Lee, and Georgia Tech ATDC VentureLab. The news did not include the amount of the funding.
We always love to share stories about the great companies we’ve showcased at our Tech Cocktail mixers over the years, who have gone on to achieve such great things. Congrats to the Khush team from all of us here at Tech Cocktail and here is to much more success for you.
Want to see it in action? Check out a LaDiDa Reverse Karaoke Live Demo (below) to see how the service works. What do you think?
