Have you ever seen a cool restaurant while en route to another place and thought, “Hey, I should check that out sometime.” But when “sometime” comes, you completely draw a blank? Matchbook just may become your favorite new app.

Matchbook is a new bookmarking app for places. When someone gives you a recommendation about a bar, restaurant or shop, you can bookmark it. The app will organize those places so you can make a fast decision about where to go out.

Matchbook is simple to use. Search for the name of the place you want to bookmark or click “I’m walking by it.” Add tags and notes to your bookmarks, and Matchbook will organize your places by neighborhood and on a map. When you’re ready to get out there, simply search your bookmarks for the perfect spot. Matchbook will find the best places from your bookmarks as well as from the top places from everyone else. You can instantly send places from your computer to your phone, and yes, city dwellers–Matchbook even works on the subway!

Matchbook is available for iPhone and Android, so get this app and always have somewhere cool to be!
