Laura Fitton’s 4 Rules for Networking

Laura Fitton has a pretty extensive network – in fact, she’s kind of like Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, she says.

With a little help from networking, Fitton went from an unknown mother of two living near Boston, to the CEO of a venture-funded startup called oneforty.com, to an evangelist at HubSpot, which acquired oneforty. As @pistachio on Twitter, she’s amassed over 100,000 followers, and she’s the coauthor of Twitter for Dummies.

In June, Fitton joined us at Tech Cocktail Sessions Boston, where the theme was “Relationships Matter.” She explained her four rules for networking, and why you might be doing it wrong.

Watch Laura Fitton’s full talk. This video was recorded as part of the Tech Cocktail Sessions speaker series. We are currently offering these sessions monthly, so check our event schedule for the next event and come interact with these startup founders, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders in person.
