Marci Harris of POPVOX: “Just Do It. It Will Never Be Unscary”

Marci Harris has seen both worlds. As a congressional staffer, she participated in the “zero-sum game” of politics, where the goal is often to beat your opponent or not get dragged down into a scandal.

As an entrepreneur – cofounder and CEO of POPVOX – Harris has now joined a world of community and innovation and a culture of learning from your mistakes. Harris is bridging those two worlds with POPVOX, which gives citizens a platform to express their opinions on bills and actually be heard by congressmen.

At our SXSW #StartupLife Celebration last weekend, Harris went into depth about the difference between DC and Silicon Valley, how tech is affecting politics, and getting your startup noticed. Watch the video featuring Marci Harris of POPVOX.
