The Microsoft Ventures Accelerator Tour is visiting 11 US cities to spread the word about their accelerator programs that run in 7 cities(Bangalore, Beijing, Berlin, London, Paris, Seattle, and Tel Aviv) around the world. More specifically, this tour is specifically to promote the Machine Learning Accelerator in Seattle which is currently accepting applications for their new class beginning onFebruary 2, 2016.
On October 13, the tour will make a stop in Palo Alto, CA. Most people know Palo Alto as the center of Silicon Valley, home to Stanford University, and right up the road from Google HQ in Mountain View. Of course there are approximately one million tech companies and startups in this city, but only one of them can call itself a Microsoft Ventures Accelerator alum.
Palo Alto based AdHusky is a marketing tool for creating and promoting Facebook Ads. The founding team members are Taek Chung (CEO) and Michael Chun (CTO), both Stanford grads. Facebook ads can be created in less than three minutes and shared across multiple platforms. The AdHusky tool promises the following benefits:
- Effective: Reach the news feeds of your target audiences.
- Efficient: Run campaigns across all platforms.
- Simple: All it takes is a couple of clicks!
Their goal is to make it as simple as possible to design your add, select your audience, review the ad before it goes live, and pay for it. Their most basic plan is $9/week. They also provide results such as views and the number of clicks once the ad campaign ends. They are currently updating the system so that advertisers can track campaign progress in real time.
With so many entrepreneurs choosing Silicon Valley as their startup’s home, it’s quite possible there could be another Palo Alto company in the upcoming Seattle class. If you have a startup and are interested in applying for the Machine Learning Accelerator, you can apply here.
