Meet The Challenge Cup London’s Hottest Showcasing Startups

Last week was the Challenge Cup London’s Regional competition, held at Hub Westminster.  Dozens of startups delivered their one-minute pitch on stage to a panel of judges, where one company from each category would emerge as the winner and move onto the final round.

In the spirit of Tech Cocktail, however, we want your take.  We ran a poll for each category (Education, Energy, Health, and Smart Cities), to see who you thought was the hottest of the group.  The readers have spoken.  Below are your Reader’s Choice winners.

Wibbu – “Personalized” language-learning applications that relates the language’s grammatical rules to user’s native language for more natural memorization.


Cutility – Automatically tracks the user’s utility bills and compares each month’s usage profile against every  tariff in the UK; as soon as a better tariff that meets the minimum savings threshold is identified, the user is alerted and can choose to switch.


MadeByMedics – a cross-platform, task management app, which improves communication and reduces human error in hospitals.

Smart Cities

SocioTransit – social networking service that matches people seeking traveller/ transporter to carry/ buy/ pick-up & drop any kind of goods from one place to another.
