Last week was the Challenge Cup NYC’s Regional competition, held at Center for Social Innovation. Dozens of startups delivered their one-minute pitch on stage to a panel of judges, where one company from each category would emerge as the winner and move onto the final round.
In the spirit of Tech Cocktail, however, we want your take. We ran a poll for each category (Education, Energy, Health, and Smart Cities), to see who you thought was the hottest of the group. The readers have spoken. Below are your Reader’s Choice winners.
The Challenge Cup NYC’s Hottest Showcasing Startups
Youthful Savings – Provides affordable college planning solutions, small business and startup financial support, and group youth programs that teach entrepreneurship and financial education.
Divvy – Crowd-funding clean energy.
myHINT – Uses predictive reasoning algorithms to review corporate employees’ health information, identify individual employees who are non-compliant with clinical guidelines, and predict future risks. It then deploys behavioral economics to increase employee utilization in services that can diagnose and treat disease, which leads to a reduction of corporate healthcare costs.
AngelPolitics – The big data & artificial intelligence killer app for political and non-profit fundraising.
Congratulations to the startups. Next up: Austin.
