In an age where gaming has become one of the biggest activities in the world, it is easy to forget how anti-social it can actually be. It is one thing to speak with someone else through a microphone but actually conversing with another person through a live video feed makes the communication that much easier and personable.
Gickup is a new online gaming platform that has incorporated live video chat into its games so you never have to feel like you’re by yourself while playing your favorite online games.
Gickup is the first Massively, Multi-Player, Online, Video-Chat Gaming (MMOVCG) platform. It is a browser and group video chat-based gaming service where people can play new social games, meet friends from all around the world, and have fun.
And because sometimes watching others play a new game is the best way to learn how to play it yourself, Gickup has made it possible to watch a game and then, when you’re ready, jump in and challenge the winner(s). Imagine meeting a whole new group of friends who you can see and speak to while playing games together online anytime from anywhere!
Gickup is also a platform that encourages other developers/content creators to access its APIs to create new, exciting games. The Los Angeles company currently has an agreement with Propulsion Games, which has created the first batch of games for Gickup.
The Gickup team will be at Tech Cocktail Los Angeles tonight, so if you’re in LA, stop by and meet them!
