Microsoft Ventures: Change the Way we Work

We are proud to partner with Microsoft Ventures to promote their Digital Work Accelerator in Seattle. Tonight, in Chicago, join the team from their Digital Work Accelerator to get more information about the program.

Startups everywhere are looking to solve problems facing various segments of a global audience. And lately, it seems, more and more are looking to tackle productivity in the workplace. That's why the next cohort of the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator will be focused on startups who are looking to “change the way we work.” Check out this video for inspiration:

So, who's changing the way we work? We like companies such as Speak Up, looking to allow employee engagement and collaboration on the enterprise level. GoodMeeting is another great productivity and collaboration tool that will allow large companies to really improve their meetings. Improving e-mail is definitely another area of Digital Work that has room for improvement. In this story, we covered how mxHero is improving the way companies manage and analyze their email accounts.

“People are best when they pursue passion and are invested on all levels in what they are working on. We want to help companies redefine what work looks like.” says Max Farrell, a Co-Founder of Create Reason.

Tech Cocktail travels across the nation to find startups working to improve the world in various significant ways. In Little Rock, Arkansas, we found Create Reason, who has a very clear directive: improve the way the world works. Even when we're not traveling and hosting events, we are still gathering research on all of the different startups who are doing and building every day. Check out this list of companies who are building apps that increase productivity. Digital Work is happening all around us, every day. And the team and Microsoft Ventures has the ability to guide these startups through the launch, traction, and scale phases to move from startup to profitable company.

Apply for the Microsoft Ventures Digital Work Accelerator today, or check out this schedule of information sessions to find out more. Don't forget: tonight, the team will be at the Microsoft Tech Center in Chicago. RSVP here! Next week, find them in Los Angeles on Monday, in Boston on Tuesday, in DC on Wednesday, and in San Francisco on Thursday. The application deadline is Friday, January 30!
