“A lot of the social web is about sharing what you had for lunch. We’re about helping people share what they do together with people that they really trust.”
This is the elevator pitch of Miki Johnson, founder and CEO at Parsec.co, a team-building tool powered by a project-focused social network. Born on the frustration of her friends using different tools to find reliable people for a given service or task, Johnson set out to create a single platform to serve this need.
Tech Cocktail caught up with Johnson to learn more about Parsecco, which piece of advice has had the biggest effect on her career, the greatest challenge with starting up in Chicago, and her top learning lesson she wants to get across to fellow entrepreneurs.
Watch the full interview with Miki Johnson below. The conversation was as filmed at Tech Cocktail’s Chicago Mixer on November 29th. It is also part of the Tech Cocktail Conversations podcast – subscribe on iTunes.
