On January 28th, we hosted our very first mobile cocktail event, MOBILE cocktail Chicago 1. Similar to our TECH cocktail events, the mobile event brought in various mobile developers, startups, sponsors and enthusiasts to show off what they are doing, network and have some fun – all with a mobile focus.  Being our first mobile event – during the coldest month of the year, potentially the coldest day of the 2010 so far – we were thrilled to have such a great crowd fill the Touch Interactive Bar in the Lakeview neighborhood.  With the help of Chicago mobile entrepreneurs Raymond Reinhardt and Keith McGorisk of Cuddlephish, we showcased 10 start-ups which included: WalkJogRun iPhone application, Android Tapp, Appolicious, CityCrawler, Ethervision, Eduk8, EverybodySafe, iLime, Personal Caregiver, and TextHub.

We could not have done it without the support of our sponsors Technology Decisions, First Data Independent Services, SurePayroll and Clear. Check out some of the photos that Keith McGorisk snapped at the event:

Thank you everyone that came out to MOBILE cocktail Chicago 1. The next Chicago MOBILE cocktail event will be in a few months so stay tuned by signing up for email mobile news updates and upcoming events in your local area and beyond.
