Jon Taggart’s startup, Modern Giver, was a proud partner of the Life is Beautiful festival held in Downtown Vegas this past weekend. They were the exclusive donation platform for the festival, and Walls360 printed custom graphics to hype their presence.

This past June, still based in LA, Taggart sent out a single Tweet asking to connect with other entrepreneurs in Las Vegas that had made the big move to the area. The activity and excitement of Vegas was enticing and LA wasn’t offering the help or support Modern Giver needed for success.

The founders of Walls360 replied to Taggart’s Tweet almost immediately; they filled him in on what their own move from San Francisco to Las Vegas was like a few years prior.

“My wife and I came out a few days later for a visit, and we were absolutely floored,” says Taggart in his blog post. “The Walls360 team was so welcoming and helpful [that] it was a breath of fresh air and little strange.”

But it was only strange because it was so vastly different from the support Taggart was used to in LA. From there, Taggart was introduced to the people at the Downtown Project, the Life is Beautiful team, and was instantly hooked on Downtown Vegas.

He moved both his family and Modern Giver to Las Vegas last month for the unparalleled community and opportunity that exists there. And being able to immediately participate in the community through his partnership with Life is Beautiful made everything worth it.

“I can’t speak highly enough of the growing entrepreneurial community here, and I recommend anyone who is looking for a change to roll the dice on Las Vegas,” says Taggart.
