Startup talent is no longer confined by the coasts. While New York and San Francisco used to be the exclusive hubs for innovative ideas, good ideas are spreading like wildfire across the entire country. And if you haven’t checked out some of the talent emerging from New Orleans, you’re missing out on a pretty amazing economic revival.

The best way to get a good idea of what a startup ecosystem is up to is to check out local accelerators. Propeller, for example, has been helping startups in New Orleans grow since 2011, and their cohorts focus on solving meaningful problems in the community, like food security, water management, healthcare, and educational equity.
