Have you ever thought about becoming a millionaire? Of course you have. Everyone has. It’s basically engrained in our DNA. I’m sure you’ve played Monopoly, daydreamed with friends what you would do if you won the lottery, or even schemed the “hard work will pay off later” route of becoming a successful entrepreneur.
Business Insider thinks they can teach you how to become a millionaire through an infographic. Unfortunately, the title of the infographic is “9 Things to Do in Your 20s to Be a Millionaire by 30,” so if you’re already over 30, I hate to break it to you, but you’re basically screwed (kidding).
Becoming a millionaire only happens overnight if you were born into privilege or if you really did win the lottery. For everyone else it takes hard work, planning, making the right decisions, and probably a smidge of good luck.
This infographic offers tips from three people who have been there–who have paved their own paths to success. Grant Cardone is the owner of multiple businesses (Cardone Acquisitions, Cardone Enterprises, and The Cardone Group), as well as a motivational speaker and author. Daniel Ally was a self-made millionaire by age 24, and is now an international business expert, best-selling author, and keynote speaker. Tucker Hughes is a real estate expert who received his broker’s license at the age of 20 and is now the director at Hughes Marino.
The 9 tips to becoming a millionaire by 30:
- Focus on earning
- Save to invest, don’t save to save
- Ask for help
- Be decisive
- Don’t show off – show up
- Know when to take risks and act
- Go for $10 million, not $1 million
- Master soft skills and cooperate
- Invest in yourself
