With the rising popularity of startup culture, it can be hard to get a handle on emerging talent to look out for. After all, startup culture can be filled with the same names – of already established founders and investors looking to move on to the next project. Boston is no exception – the emerging startup industry there has allowed for some interesting companies to emerge, but for emerging startup founders seeking recognition and support, there are few opportunities to shine. But that could all soon turn around.
Tech.Co is looking for your nominations for startup founders from specific cities in emerging ecosystems to know. And to make it even more exciting, these nominations are focused on a specific underrepresented group – startup founders who are 40 and over. Though tech and startup culture have made strides in bringing awareness of other forms of discrimination within the industry, ageism is still under-discussed and rarely addressed head on in diversity efforts.
By nominating Boston startup founders over 40, this is pushing to actively combat the discrimination and challenges that often face these niche startup founders. Are you or anyone you know deserving of some recognition? Fill out the nomination form below!
