Video: This Is How Many Drones It Takes to Change a Light Bulb

Here’s proof, caught on film, that drones can handle changing lightbulbs. Youtuber Marek Baczynski posted the video below last Sunday. The quadcopter drone fails a number of times before unscrewing the old bulb and screwing in a fresh one.

The method of failure is always the same: The rotors hit something, the drone drops, the bulb shatters, and the drone returns to try again. Granted, the process is long, difficult, and definitely way harder than using a ladder. But as anyone who has worked in tech knows, that just means it’s time for a new iteration of the process. The future of light bulb changing is now.

We still have no word on how drones can tackle other moldy joke formats, as none have been documented forcing chickens to cross roads.
