The Passion Planner: A Tool to Propel Self-Motivation, Focus, Inspiration, and Action

Just in time for gift-giving season, and with enough preparation for goal setting season, everyone is talking about the Passion Planner. Last year, creator Angelia Trinidad came up with the idea to integrate an appointment calendar, journal, goal setting guide, and to-do list into a single planner. She set up a Kickstarter campaign for the 2014 planner which offered weekly inspirational quotes, a place to jot down good things that happened, and a place to map out short, medium, and long-term goals. The step-by-step mapping diagram to see how goals can be interrelated was pretty fabulous.

That campaign went so well – $48,000 pledged of a $19,000 goal – that she decided to make some changes and bring it back for this year as well. From the campaign:

“Since its launch it has helped many people find balance in their personal and work lives, change careers, plan and succeed in personal projects (even a few Kickstarters!), achieve their fitness goals, take the trips of their dreams, and also find a place of focus and balance when struggling with learning disabilities like ADHD. “

Currently live on Kickstarter with 13 days to go, the campaign has over 16,000 backers who have pledged over $450,000 of a $10,000 goal!

one place all thoughts

Billed as the one place for all your thoughts, the 2015 Passion Planner is about half the size as last year’s offering, but still provides the overviews and check-ins that the original passion planner was created around.

I especially love:

  • monthly check-in reflection questions
  • personal and work to-do lists
  • challenges that match motivational quotes
  • a place to record gratitude.

There is something even more beautiful to share about this Kickstarter project. Trinidad is offering the PDF of the planning pages for free to anyone who shares the Kickstarter campaign on social media and emails the project with a link or screen shot of the share. When the campaign ends, the PDF will be available to those who completed these steps. Why would she offer this?

“I believe people will give when they can and when they want to support a vision; I appreciate that kind of business model. I’m doing this project to help people and not to make money. I think when you genuinely want to help people everything else will fall into place. “

May you all be inspired this holiday season to make “love, gratitude, and self-motivation the primary force that propelled an action” as creator Trinidad has hoped for you. Check out the campaign here and order a few extra for those you love.
