Pillsbury LawWith TECH cocktail DC 8 tonight in Washington, D.C., we wanted to take a moment to thank our platinum sponsor for the event, Pillsbury.  In case Pillsbury is new to you, they are a full-service law firm with strengths in the energy, financial services, real estate and technology sectors. They have offices around the world and we thankful for the two in the Washington, D.C area as they help support the technology community in a number of ways, which includes helping startups.

In 2007, Pillsbury launched its very own start-up Incubator Program. In many cases, some of the biggest expenses that start-ups and emerging businesses encounter are legal expenses, so it only makes sense that through the Pillsbury Incubator Program, they provide entrepreneurs with cost effective access to the support and legal counsel they need. Pillsbury has a long history of working with up and coming companies and have represented hundreds of early stage companies, many from inception, through multiple rounds of financing and liquidity transactions. They have worked with companies ranging from well-known names like AOL and WebEx to those still waiting to get off the ground.

At TECH cocktail DC 8, Pillsbury will be showcasing some of the companies currently in the Pillsbury Incubator Program which include:

Euraeka – a search & discovery service that builds personal recommendations based on your channels and suggests other articles you might like.

FELA – an independent provider of financial education and wellness programs. Their goal is to empower individuals to make smart financial decisions every day.

FitFeud – a competitive wellness platform which allows individuals and organizations to harness their competitive nature and use it as a motivational tool for a healthier lifestyle.

Counterpoint – a consulting company that leverages business process management (BPM) software and a unique consulting approach to reduce cycle times.

Interested in the program? Participation in the Incubator Program is limited to select companies based on a number of criteria. In order to determine whether your company may be eligible to participate, simply contact the lawyer you’re working with at Pillsbury, or Jamie Graham, Manager, Business Development, at 703.770.7816 or jamie.graham@pillsburylaw.com.
