These Are the 15 Most Popular Mobile Apps

Users rely on mobile apps for everything, from business to news and entertainment. And according to Cio, Google and Facebook are still dominating the mobile app industry.

Of the top 15 mobile apps found in research conducted by the company last month, both Google and Facebook ranked high on the list. A stunning 78.8 percent of U.S. adults who own iOS and Android devices use Facebook’s app, while five of eight other entries on the list are owned by Google. Other entries on the list include some of the most popular Google-owned apps and two of Apple’s.

As mobile apps and social media continue to grow in popularity, it’s important that the mobile app industry continues to grow and utilize the importance of these trends as they emerge. Not only do they help bring awareness to user trends and niche markets, but they could also highlight what’s to come for the industry in the near future.

Though the popular apps of the moment may have some fluctuation, it’s still important that we monitor where users are socializing, liking, and commenting in order to better understand how to contribute to the constantly emerging business and tech industries.
