The last we heard of the Seattle-based Porch they were rolling out the red carpet for 10 new real estate partners. It’s helped them extend the reach of their data-driven home services network for both homeowners and home improvement professionals.
It’s only been about a month since they broke the news, and today they made another huge announcement: Porch has hired Bob Barton as their new CFO. He previously worked as president and COO of OnlineShoes.com and as the CFO of Cranium.
As the new CFO of Porch, Barton will oversee all fiduciary responsibilities for the company.
“Bob is the perfect fit for Porch,” says Matt Ehrlichman, CEO. “He brings to us a unique blend of leadership proficiency, fiduciary expertise, and high-growth, fast-scale company experience. As Porch continues to grow explosively across every area of our business, I am thrilled to have Bob along for the ride.”
Over the last 20 months Porch has experienced exceptional growth: the Porch network has grown from 1.5 million professionals to over 3.2 million with project insights growing from 90 million to over 130 million. And to date over 6 million Porch Home Reports have been requested by prospective homebuyers.
Already, via their partnership with Lowe’s, Porch serves as the in-store resource to help homeowners find the right home professionals for nearly any project. They’re actually available in every Lowe’s in the US and over 250,000 associates have been trained on how to use the platform.
“Porch is in the midst of a really special journey. The industry itself is thriving and Porch is leading the way through its unique combination of product innovation, data insights, and a world-class team,” says Barton. “The people were a big reason why I joined. The culture is electric; 400 plus people working together to put our customers in a better place so we can help millions of people love their home. Our vision is a big one and it is going to be a blast to see it come to life.”
When Barton says ‘big’ here, we know what he means. But I honestly think it might be somewhat of an understatement with regards to Porch’s astounding growth to date.
