There are more than 600 million users on Facebook, and many of them like to listen to music online, discover new bands, and share music with their friends. But most musicians are too busy writing songs and playing shows to build a custom music app for their fan page.  To plug this gap, RootMusic built BandPage, a Facebook app, that allows bands and musicians to promote themselves and fans to discover awesome new music.

BandPage offers everything a musician needs keep their fans up-to-date.  They can share their music, tour dates, Twitter feed, blog posts, wall, bio, contact info, videos, and pictures.

Fans can share music, videos, and shows with their friends with the click of a button, allowing people from across the globe to access new music and artists quickly.

Every BandPage comes with a custom listn.to/ link, which directs fans back to the music on Facebook.  Because fans get a more robust online experience with BandPage, artists will see a spike in the number of “Likes” and page interaction is boosted up to three to five times.

BandPage comes into two versions: Basic and Plus.  BandPage Basic is free to help up-and-coming musicians get a little momentum. BandPage Plus allows musicians to fully customize their page. An uploadable banner, editable fonts and colors, and an option to add background pictures make BandPage Plus an excellent way for bands to further entice fans into a branded experience. And at $1.99 a month, or $19.99 a year, BandPage Plus is an affordable solution for musicians, especially when alternatives can cost up to a couple of thousand dollars a month.

If you are a music fan–or musician–come by and meet the BandPage team at our SXSW Accelerator Kickoff on Sunday.
