Recruiting talented candidates is a top priority for many companies, but the recruiting process often has problems. Hiring a recruiting manager can be expensive, and generally only 20% of current employees contribute to the recruitment process.

A new service aims to eliminate these issues. GooodJob gives employees the tools they need to make references and play an active role in their company’s recruitment process. The service taps into employees’ social media networks to recruit top talent.

GooodJob works by posting periodic updates on employees’ Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn pages. Employees can opt in or out of the program, and they have the option to control how often GooodJob posts on their behalf. The service has no access to friends, pictures, or wall posts.

If you have good employees, chances are they know others who would be a good fit at your company. GooodJob provides the tools to tap into these networks and gain increased referrals for any organization.

The service also gives employees an incentive to refer excellent candidates – the program tracks referrals and provides rewards for employees when their referrals reach final interviews or fill a challenging position. Employees also gain points as their referrals progress, or for doing things like posting a weekly Facebook update about their positive job experiences. They can redeem their points at any time for prizes including cash, vacations, iPads, and cameras. This way, employees know that their efforts are recognized and appreciated.

GooodJob also encourages a bit of healthy competition by allowing employees to see how they rank against their colleagues on a leader board. And the service offers a smartphone app, so employees can tap into the recruiting process on the go. The app allows organizations to share videos, pictures, and news as a way to brand and engage top talent.

Potential candidates can directly interact with recruiters via the app. GooodJob allows you to include specific profiles of recruiters, and allows time-strapped job applicants to apply in one click, either by uploading their resume or LinkedIn profile.

GooodJob is an excellent way to incentivize workers to take an active part in the recruiting process. You can learn more about the service here.

Would you consider using a service like GooodJob to recruit job candidates? How effective do you think it would be?
