Hellooooo, Charleston! Are you a hip, cool startup that has what it takes to compete against some of the best startups that this great country has to offer? Tech Cocktail’s looking for a select few (and by this I mean “two”) of South Carolina’s best startups to come join us in downtown Las Vegas this October to compete in a national startup competition! Who has what it takes to represent Charleston?

On October 6 and 7, two of Charleston’s hottest startups will join us for Tech Cocktail Celebrate, a gathering of the best startups, technologists, and investors to connect and to learn more about other growing startup ecosystems across the country. These two startups will get the chance to show off their great work at our showcase, get some much-deserved media attention, and (most importantly, duh) get the opportunity to win some funding.

Apply Now, Charleston/South Carolina Startups!

Simply fill out this application, ya silly. From there, the rest is up to luck and the universe (well, and whether people actually think you’ve got something great going). The top 10 companies will compete in an upcoming online readers’ choice poll, where the resulting top choice will join us in Las Vegas next month. The second startup to join us in Vegas will be chosen by our very own team.

“KK, cool. This is all pretty intimidating, though – do I even qualify?”

Great question! In order to actually qualify, you’ll need to fit this criteria:

  1. You DON’T have to be a startup based in Charleston.
  2. Your startup can come from any industry or vertical.
  3. You must be a tech-enabled company with high growth potential.
  4. You need some form of product that you can actually demo (you’re showcasing , after all).
  5. We only accept startups that have raised less than $1 million AND are less than 3 years old.

So, what are you waiting for? Apply now! And if you leave here without applying, then I hate you (except not). Here’s a gif expressing this sentiment (because The Notebook was apparently filmed in Charleston):

On October 6-7, Tech Cocktail Celebrate will gather hundreds of attendees, industry leaders, and inspiring speakers in downtown Vegas. Meet the hottest startups and investors from around the country, learn and collaborate with others turning their communities into startup cities, and enjoy music, parties and llama spotting. Grab your tickets here.
