The Challenge Festival, hosted by 1776, has a wide array of activities planned from May 9 all the way through May 17 in Washington, DC. From 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on Thursday May 15, Microsoft will be sponsoring the final lunchtime conference of the Challenge Festival at Dock5 in the historic Union Market district: the theme is Returns on Capital.

The conference will focus on how venture capital itself is undergoing a massive change while venture capitalists are simultaneously investing in startups and disrupting entire industries. There are tools available, like equity and non-equity crowdfunding, angel investors, and platforms like AngelList that are helping investors and entreprenerus discover new ways to fund companies.

The Returns on Capital conference will seek to show all those in attendance how they can take advantage of the tools available to them. The event is open to all who have platinum, gold, or VIP badges. If that’s not you, don’t worry because you can buy an individual ticket for the event here.
