The Rise of the Rest Continues in Albuquerque, New Mexico

The Rise of the Rest tour is presented by Revolution, Google for Entrepreneurs, Salesforce for Startups, Village Capital, Economic Innovation Group, Inc., and Engine, with Tech.Co joining on as a partner.

Everyone knows that startups need funding to stay alive. Whether they get it through angel groups, venture capital firms, or startup competitions, the capital needs to flow for a budding startup to grow. Fortunately, Steve Case and Revolution are putting on the Rise of the Rest tour in hopes of investing some money in their success.

On October 6th, Albuquerque, New Mexico will be the next stop on the the startup tour. Competitors and attendees will be treated to desert landscapes, spicy food, and enough Breaking Bad references to give you goosebumps. Frank Gruber, TechCo’s founder and CEOwill be in attendance and loves interacting will people on the path to startup glory.

The Rise of the Rest startup bus tour is aimed at highlighting cities leading the charge in a new era of technological revitalization. Since its inception in 2014, Steve Case has invested more than $2 million in 20 startups across 20 cities in the United States. This year, he is giving away $100,000 in funding to one startup from each city.

Albuquerque Sol FC – This startup is seeking to elevate the game of soccer in Albuquerque.

BabyPage— BabyPage is an online and mobile platform that helps parents track their children’s milestones and create a modern baby book along the way.

DermaTec— DermaTec using biochemical technologies to reduce the rate of drunk driving and irresponsible drinking.

EquiSeq— This startup is analyzing the genetic material of horses to improve breeding.

InnoBright Technologies Inc.This company creates software that dramatically reduces the time and cost to create quality renderings and other computer generated imagery.

Pressure Analysis Co— This startup comes from the creators of SmackCap, a skullcap that detects impact in real time for football players on the field.

ScoreStik— ScoreStik is a low-cost scoreboard technology that can be operated from a computer or mobile device.

Slipstream ZLD— This startup provides a fully automated and efficient wastewater evaporator and crystallizer package that takes untreated waste and seamlessly provides pure distilled water to reuse.
