Planning a wedding can be a lot like building a startup – it’s an emotional roller coaster with loads to do, and not enough time, and sleepless nights. But every struggle just makes Sara Morgan understand her customers better: she’s the founder of Tailored, a 500 Startups company that helps brides-to-be create lists (Pinterest-style), get personalized recommendations, find inspiration – and most importantly, buy the stuff.

Not that Morgan needs the extra empathy – she spent her time before Tailored as director of marketing at Weddzilla, a site with tools for planning weddings and connecting with vendors.

Friendly and put together, Morgan shared her story at our SXSW #StartupLife Celebration on Saturday. Find out about Tailored’s challenges and the surprising but amazing support they received from the tech community in the video below featuring Sara Morgan.
