Saving the World at Work event with author Tim Sanders: This Thursday

Mark Carter just filled me on a great event he is putting together this Thursday night.  The event is one where you will get to meet Tim Sanders (author or "Love is the Killer App" and "Saving the World at Work").  Tim is also a former Yahoo! exec.  Please read Mark’s note below for info and details.  Registration is cheap ($10) and you’ll get a signed copy of "Saving the World at Work" which is worth more than the $10 you’ll spend.  I would be there but I will be in Missouri that night at the MU School of Journalism for their new media lab dedication.

There’s a great event coming up this Thursday that Tech Cocktailers might be interested in.  We helped to organize it for a NY Times bestselling author (Tim Sanders) based on the theme “Saving The World At Work”.  The event will connect socially conscious people involved with a variety of causes (ranging from the green movement to mentoring) with civic organizations and other young professionals.

Tim is reaching out specifically to the blogging/tech/social media communities that are interested in getting involved with causes; Tech Cocktailers are a natural fit!

This event is a little different than the typical speech or book signing.  Tim wants to connect with people personally—so the event is designed to do just that…

There will be social networking, of course.  Attendees will also get a chance to sit, in small groups throughout the night, with Tim Sanders and ask questions and pick his brain.  This is a unique opportunity to sit with a NY Times bestselling author and get ideas about how to grow your business through social responsibility (AND you’ll get a copy of his new book at the event ).

To help with the networking at the event we will have facilitators there helping you make connections AT the event to create results AFTER the event.

All the information about the event is at the link below (along with more results that you’ll walk away with).

Looking forward to seeing you at the event…
