Lead generation is an important way for businesses to secure new clients. More and more, companies are becoming aware of this fact and are, without a doubt, investing more on it – for example, by making their websites more prone to it. But there are several sources for lead generation, and social media is one of the most used.
While using social media for lead generation might not be the easiest thing in the world, there is a company specialized in making the process a lot easier for businesses: Socedo helps sales and marketing professionals leverage social media to discover leads and build relationships more effectively.
The company has had huge success, so much that it has been the subject of a $1.5 million round of investment led by Vulcan Capital and Divergent Ventures, with angel investors from Seattle and San Francisco participating as well. Currently employing 13 people, the money from this funding will be used for hiring, marketing, and product development.
According to Aseem Badshah, Socedo’s CEO and founder:
“Socedo is the only social lead discovery and marketing automation system built specifically for B2B demand generation marketers. It essentially fills the gap between social media management tools like HootSuite or Sprinklr and Marketing Automation platforms like Marketo or HubSpot to automate social demand generation at scale.”
Socedo works by bringing to the companies the social prospects that match some custom criteria defined by the companies. Then, if the company approves the prospect, Socedo works to automatically find the person’s Linkedin and starts to engage with the prospect, both on Twitter and Linkedin, using a customizable workflow.
The aforementioned criteria can be set for specific prospects, prioritizing data such as hashtags, Twitter handles and other keyword. Socedo fetches a list of social prospects that meet the users’ predetermined criteria, which can be approved, declined or held for further review.
All prospects approved by users are then engaged, allowing them to further nurture prospects along the sales lifecycle, and all that information is synced with a CRM or marketing platform like Salesforce or HubSpot, therefore building a pool of qualified social leads every day.
With social networks getting bigger and bigger, having access to the best tools in order to hunt on them for the best possible leads seems to be quintessential for any business nowadays, making Socedo a very useful tool to have around.
