We’ve seen glimmers of the convergence of 3D photos and videos with smartphones (like these) at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) for the past couple of years. Yet until recently, most have only been available in Asia. This past summer, HTC released the EVO 3D on the Sprint Network, bringing 3D to the masses.

To showcase the 3D capabilities of the HTC EVO 3D, a 4G smartphone, which shoots and plays 3D video (sans glasses), Sprint has released 3D video “Bubble Mania,” a whimsical video that follows 10 “bubble artists” as they walk into a section of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, surprising the local kids and adults in bubbly flash mob-style.

While this particular video was shot by an agency using high-end 3D cameras, you can watch it in all its splendor on the device, and shoot your own 3D videos. “Bubble Mania” ties in with a series of marketing videos titled “EVO 3D: Basics of 3D” that were created to provide a fun and humorous look on making your own 3D videos, which you can do with this device.

Watch the 2D version of the video here:
