Tech.Co is proud to announce our media partnership with the SPROCKIT startup hub at the NAB Show April 11-16 in Las Vegas this year, produced by The National Association of Broadcasters. NAB is the premier advocacy association for America’s broadcasters, and the SPROCKIT program is now in its third year. The NAB Show itself is the world’s largest media and entertainment event, boasting 98,000 attendees from 159 countries and 1,700+ exhibitors, so the ability for startups in this industry to have a stage in front of such a large audience of industry professionals is extremely powerful. Today, SPROCKIT announced that all 30 startups in the program have been selected.

“From reinventing content on emerging mobile devices to improving social engagement with traditional media platforms, each of these companies has a unique solution for some of the industry’s biggest challenges,” said Harry Glazer, founder and CEO of SPROCKIT in a press release today. “The 30 SPROCKIT companies are innovating to further this industry as a whole, and I look forward to the progress and impact they will make in April.”

The participating startups are chosen based on their potential to disrupt the market and offer solutions to challenges faced by media and entertainment professionals. In addition to being showcased during the NAB Show, these startups convene throughout the year at SPROCKIT Sync, a series of private meetings where executives and entrepreneurs meet to collectively discuss and introduce new technologies that will advance the industry.

The SPROCKIT Hub, located at booth N2530, will offer programming includes industry-curated panels and interviews, and a two-day pitch competition that will be open to the public. The five startups who receive the most votes through online and SMS voting will be honored at an invite-only awards ceremony on Tuesday, April 14.

SPROCKIT has announced the 30 startups accepted into the program progressively over the last two months. Check out the full lineup of SPROCKIT 2015 Startups here
