This Is How Ridiculous We Look at Attempting the Perfect Instagram Photo

You’re out at a bar, the movies, or a farmers’ market. Then you see it: a group of people, or maybe just one person, taking a ridiculous amount of photos, trying desperately to nail that perfect angle and shot. We’ve all seen it, and we all know where that photo is going – Instagram.

It’s never easy to capture a perfect selfie or group shot. But it’s like the harder we try to nail the photo the more staged and non-realistic it looks. I’m definitely a betting man, and I’d bet some serious money that the majority – above 50 percent – of all Instagram photos are not, in fact, organic. That is, I think they’re mostly staged.

Case in point, The Mystery Hour recently made a video for all of us who’ve witnessed – or potentially been a part of – a staged Instagram photo. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, I just think it looks really funny when people try to get it right. Just check out their video:
