A new network for startups that is backed by the European Commission, Startup Europe’s Accelerator Assembly, was officially launched today. The Accelerator Assembly is part of the Startup Europe Partnership, an initiative that connects web entrepreneurs across Europe to provide networks, resources, and information to grow.
In an effort to provide expertise and knowledge about the startup sector to the participants, the Accelerator Assembly has partnered with big names like Seedcmap, TechStars London, Startup Weekend, Bethnal Green Ventures, Seed-DB, Nesta, and How to Web.
“Accelerators are a key component of early-stage startup support and a driver for any ecosystem’s economic progress,” says Carlos Espinal, leading partner of the Accelerator Assembly and Seedcamp, in the press release. “The Accelerator Assembly will allow us to share best practices, improve transparency, and ultimately, create more successful and sustainable startups in Europe.”
The Accelerator Assembly features an online Yammer forum, new research from accelerator graduates and programs in Europe, and a European Accelerator Conference to take place in early 2014. Participation in the activities allows the Accelerator Assembly to collate, create, and share knowledge about key trends and developments in the community at large.
Even though there has been rapid growth in the digital economy in Europe, many web entrepreneurs lack access to proper resources to get their startup off the ground. Thankfully, the signup is still open to any European startup who wants to improve those areas.
