We’ve all been there: sitting in our seat at a baseball game, itching for a beer and a hot dog. Unfortunately, with the long lines, hectic processes, and flustered staff, getting your time-honored meal during America’s pastime turns into more of a mad dash than a fun night out. Fortunately, one startup is hoping to reduce concession lines with one simple trick.
Appetize, a Southern California-based startup, is making moves in the live sports arena by providing an easy way to get concessions. All you have to do is download the app and you’ll be able to order quickly and easily from your seat. No waits, no fumbling with change, and no chaos. Plus, with features like cloud-based, back-of-house inventory management, venue managers can track down to each slice of cheese and leaf of lettuce and update that data live.

This concessions change is not just for the little guys, as Appetize has announced that they are setting up in four MLB stadiums, Coors Field (home of the Colorado Rockies), Kauffman Stadium (home of the Kansas City Royals), Angel Stadium of Anaheim (home of the Angels), and the illustrious Yankee Stadium (home of the, you guessed it, New York Yankees).

Concessions have been the bane of sports attendees for years. While Appetize won’t eliminate the problem, it could substantially alleviate the stress on stadium workers, as well as potential customers. After all, there are few things better in the summer than a beer, a dog, and a ball game.
